MEDICAL WORK FOOTWEAR

It is no secret that doctors work in shifts. They are on their feet practically all day. A doctor and other medical personnel must always be ready, which is why specialized shoes for medical personnel were invented. Such shoes are necessary to reduce the load on the leg and back muscles as much as possible. They also relieve pressure on the lower back, spine, cartilage, knees and hips. But do you know how and where the first specialized shoes appeared?

Originally, sabo shoes were the shoes of common people and farmers living in Europe. People immediately appreciated the comfort and functionality of these shoes, because they reliably protected their feet from the cold, allowed them to breathe in the heat and did not let moisture through. Sabo shoes have been worn by men and women for centuries. For example, the Dutch made these shoes with a wooden sole, which made them more durable and provided protection to the feet against rough roads.

By the way, the word sabo belongs to the French.
The modern sabo look originated in the 1960s thanks to a Dutch fashion designer, Jan Jansen.

Why are sabo shoes so popular among today's healthcare professionals?

1. First and foremost are natural materials. In such shoes, the feet will not suffer from overheating or overheating, and sweat will not be trapped on the soles.
2. High hygienic properties make sabo shoes very convenient for use in a hospital environment: they will not cause the formation of bacteria and microbes, and they are also easy to clean.
3. The medical shoes are soft and quiet, which will not disturb the patients.

Medical shoes are usually made of natural materials (leather, nubuck, suede, dense textile), which allow the skin of the feet to breathe easily, thus ensuring proper air and heat exchange.

Also, leather medical shoes are specially perforated. Perforation prevents the development of any diseases caused by overwetting of the feet.

The toe of specialized medical shoes is made round and wide. The reason is that a narrow toe will cause the toes to deform over time and can quickly lead to blisters. On the other hand, a wide toe fits the foot tightly, but does not press the toes. It is very soft, so the foot will be comfortable all day long. The sole is made very flexible and elastic. It has high strength and very light weight. Also, the sole is non-slip and is made of materials that have an antistatic effect, which is especially important in medical facilities.

Comfortable shoes for medical personnel are an important part that will make working time easier and reduce the load on the feet. This allows doctors to work much more efficiently and quickly, which is the most important thing for patients.
